Bio: About Kari Joys MS

Kari Joys MS is the author of the book Choosing Light-Heartedness, A 33-Day Journey to Overcome Anxiety, Depression and Dysfunctional Family Issues as well as the exciting new on-line course Journey to Light-Heartedness. Kari has been a highly recognized psychotherapist, a skilled group facilitator and a powerful energy therapist in private practice for twenty-five years. Her new book and her on-line courses have recently opened the doors to sharing her healing gifts and talents with people all over the world.

Kari is the director of the Center for Creative Change in Spokane, Washington. She has a Masters in Counseling and Interdisciplinary Studies from Eastern Washington University and she has been a long-term member of the American Counseling Association. She is a Certified Yuen Method Wellness Practitioner, a Reiki Master Teacher and a Certified Angel Therapy Practitioner.

Throughout the years, Kari has had tremendous success in both individual and group therapy. She has helped thousands of people overcome their anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem and dysfunctional family issues to achieve happy, fulfilling lives. She works intuitively, using both laughter and tears to help a person overcome whatever is blocking their joy and fulfillment.

Kari has also led intensive personal growth workshops in the Northwest for many years that have dramatically changed thousands of people's lives. More recently she has also been instrumental in bringing both the Yuen Method Wellness Trainings and Angel Therapy Trainings to Spokane.

Kari was a weekly guest on the Spokane ABC TV Daytime News Show for sixteen months in 1998-1999. She discussed how to overcome dysfunctional family issues and took calls from television viewers.

Kari's book Choosing Light-Heartedness has recently sparked more media interest. In October, 2005, Kari was quoted in Women’s World Magazine on improving relationships between mothers and daughters. In December, 2005, she was featured in the Buffalo News discussing how to deal with your dysfunctional family over the holiday season. In February, 2006, she was featured in the Spokesman Review, discussing how to create a loving, healthy, intimate relationship.

Kari has also recently been a guest on KDKA Radio in Pittsburgh with the Susie Barbour Show, on WBIX Radio in Boston with the Frankie Boyer Show, on Sunday Morning Magazine with Rodney Lear which is simulcast to 4 top Cincinnati radio stations, on WGAU in Atlanta with Barbara Dooley and on Meg Jordan's Global Medicine Hunter Health Talk Radio which is syndicated nationally to 11 radio stations.
